Our Business

NWS both distributes and a manufactures traffic control products including hardware, software, controllers, cabinets and structural poles. We sell products via contractors to state, county, local and private sector customers for use in auto, transit, LRT and streetcar integrated operations.

NWS is the only vertically integrated traffic equipment company in the USA. We also provide a limited suite of professional services (e.g. re-timings, foundation designs, etc.) to the same client base. Our tagline summarizes the role of our products and services. Our role is in Managing Mobility™.

As a manufacturer, we produce our own traffic cabinets, a NEMA controller, multi-sided poles and structures, and software. The majority of our core business is conducted regionally, however, NWS software and the M1™ Advanced Adaptive NEMA Controller are marketed and sold nationally.

As a distributor, we sell Peek Traffic under an exclusive agreement. We also represent other traffic companies on either an exclusive or a non-exclusive basis. The products we distribute are sold either as “parts only” (i.e. warehouse sales) or more commonly are integrated and resold as part of a package in an “end-to-end” traffic control solution.
